Tender Fire’s mission is to help people come into more predictable, reciprocal, and beneficial relationships with food systems, Fire, and the wider living world.
Not that long ago, our food system and our natural environment were one in the same, and it was made productive and diverse through creative and complex custodianship by our human ancestors. One of the main tools they used was fire.
Our offerings recognize the ruptures in the complex relationship. We hope to do our small part to repair it by helping others connect to their gardens and the land around them.

Our goal is to work on the small steps we can take in the generations-long journey of repairing the harm caused by inadequate fire practices and the divergence of our food and natural systems.

Tender fire is a very young organization. The work we are striving to do relies on connection, partnerships, relationships. We are looking for people who share our values and who are interested in potential partnerships. We are especially interested in people who are curious about returning fire to their land in safe and beneficial ways.
